Cherryl is a traditional painter. She describes her work as Romantic or Realism.
Her studio is outside of Soledad, California, in the Mission District of Monterey County. where she paints local landscapes of farms, vineyards, and cattle.
She was commissioned to make the painting used in the 2009 California rodeo poster in Salinas California.
She was also commissioned to paint the founding of the Mission Nuestra de la Soledad in 2010, which is part of their permanent museum collection.
Her painting of cattle along the Santa Lucia foothills was selected by the City of Salinas to send to their Sister City in Japan.
And one of her paintings was selected by the National Steinbeck Museum for their permanent collection.
She is a member of The Valley Art Gallery in Old Town Salinas where her work may be purchased.

A lithograph of her drawing of the John Steinbeck House was purchased by the City of Salinas and sent to Japan to hang in the City Hall of its sister city Kushikino, Kagoshima.

Gail's father and mother painted with oils as a hobby and gave her paintindg supplies and an art book when she was 7 years old. Her father patiently let Gail paint when he painted. She continues to have an interest in painting. She now paints in oil, watercolor, acrylics, pen and pastels.
